Hours of Operation – 

G.U.S. is open for business Monday through Friday, 9am – 5pm Pacific Standard Time. We're closed major holidays and weekends.

If you have any questions, we recommend sending an email to help@greatusefulstuff.com. Be sure to include your name, phone number, order number, the product you have questions/concerns about, and how we can be of assistance. Should you have concerns regarding an item's condition or completeness, please document your observations with photos and share those with us. Someone will get back to you as soon as possible!

Alternatively, you can call us at 1-800-341-9159. Please note, being a small team in a large warehouse it is not uncommon for calls to go to voicemail, and repeated calls back to try to reach someone may be unfruitful. Speaking slowly and clearly, please leave a detailed voicemail and it will be transcribed into an email for our team. An Associate will research the matter and connect with you for further assistance. 

Order by Phone – 
While we do accept orders by phone during normal business hours, we encourage placing your order online. The security that protects our site and your personal information is equipped with identical security protocols to the big-name sites you know and shop religiously. While our Team is professional and responsible with the data you provide us, phone lines are not secure. If you need to place an order by phone, please call 1-800-341-9159 and leave a detailed message. We will call you back as soon as possible (during normal business hours).

International Orders –
Great Useful Stuff welcomes international orders. If you are an international customer and could not place an order on our website and wish to contact our customer service department, please call our local number 1-800-341-9159. Our customer care representatives are available to assist you Monday - Friday (9am – 5pm PST).

Duties, Taxes and Brokerage Fees (International Orders Only) –
For orders shipped to destinations outside of the United States, Great Useful Stuff is not responsible for any duties, taxes and brokerage fees associated with the shipment. Furthermore, Great Useful Stuff is not knowledgeable about country-specific import regulations and will not be responsible for fees/damages associated with noncompliance. We strongly encourage you to research all country-specific facts, information, and regulations prior to placing an order.

How long will it take to receive my order? -
We strive to ship your product within 1-2 business days of receiving your order - during the holidays, that range may be closer to 2-4 business days.  Upon shipping your item, we will email you a shipment confirmation with tracking for the service you selected in checkout. Please refer to this information for your estimated delivery date. The table to the right are general guidelines for the time in transit and does not include time for processing. Please note, neither USPS nor our company guarantees delivery within these windows of time - they provide only guidelines. UPS Ground and Air Packages (i.e. 2-Day and 3-Day) are guaranteed within their service windows.

What is UPS SurePost? (Domestic Shipments Only) - 
We understand how the cost of shipping impacts one's decision to make a purchase. While we do not offer "free shipping" we do employ an economy level of service. Often, for charging stations or other products which shipping dimensions include one-12" or greater, this subsidized option saves 50% or more and only takes 1 business day longer than UPS Ground. UPS will carry the package from our HQ to your local USPS hub, where the package will be transferred to the Post Office for the final leg of delivery. 

For this option, we set flat rates based on the total weight of the shipment, up to 6 lbs. While UPS Ground cannot service a USPS PO Box address (it's a Federal Law), UPS SurePost CAN. This service can be a great alternative if USPS is particularly expensive and you don't need the item in the shortest possible window. 

Product Returns -

You may return most new unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases, you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). We offer store credit or replacements once the 30-day window has passed.

Who Pays for the Return?
 -
It depends on the situation; everything is on a case-by-case basis. However, certain circumstances remain true always - these examples are where we pay the return shipping:

  • Product arrived damaged or is defective
  • We ship out the wrong product
  • There is a citable error in our product listing which led to the issue

Payment Options – 
Great Useful Stuff accepts the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover Card. We have also enabled Amazon Login & Pay and PayPal Payments.

Currency – 
All of our products are listed in US Dollars

Sales Tax – 
We operate our business in California and therefore are required by law to charge sales tax to orders shipped within the state. All other states are not charged sales tax.
